Photography Group May 2020 Newsletter Published
Another month of COVID-19 Restrictions with self isolation at home and no opportunity to meet face-to-face. Yet our Club has continued to function with three meetings for our members; Presentation, Monthly Competition and the Coffee & Chat Morning Tea drawing members to socialise on line through Zoom Conferencing Meetings. Other Club meetings also continue to meet as scheduled.
This month’s Photography Group’s Newsletter covers the “Sharing Your Images, Through Audio Visuals”, Monthly Competition (Nature) and a sip of virtual coffee with a variety of discussions items.
The Club’s APS Challenge Cup Entries have been finalised and uploaded to the APS site. Thanks to everyone that supported the Club with their Pre-Selections entries, with the Club receiving 63 images from 20 members. Congratulations to those with images representing the Club.
At the current time it is expected that all of June’s Meetings will continue to be on-line using Zoom. However don’t forget to consult the Club’s Calendar and review all activities.

Next Everyone Competition
Capture a view from a window. The window can be from home or any location and not necessarily recent/lockdown related
There is one entry per person and you are asked to provide a contextual comment about the image. The scorer will be able to read the comment when scoring this image.
The subject is inspired by the NSW Art Gallery – From my window exhibition. As will all competitions on this site, entry, and scoring is open to all members of clubs using MyPhotoClub.
Colin would appreciate feedback on this concept and suggestions for topics.

Movie Makers May 2020 Newsletter Published
The usual Movie Makers’ Group Newsletter has a different flair about it. Editor, Ian Simpson, has taken a short retrospective look at how 2020 had promised so much in January 2020 had taken a turn for the worst under the different times of Coronavirus/COVID-19 in just a few weeks. The idea of getting ready to commence of public meetings, Club outings and spending time together were pull from under our feet. Ian’s review of the period is very enlightening how a virus could affect so much.
On the brighter side Club members have taken up the gauntlet, learnt new skills on Social Distancing and Self Isolation and headed to their electronic devices (PC, Laptops, smartphones, tablets/iPads) to communicate with each other. The take up in this area has been amazing. Thanks to everyone responding in this manner.
The Movie Makers Group has continued with a modified programme, all on-line with the aid of Zoom Conferencing/Meeting. There is several articles of the Group’s last couple of meeting; Map Routes by Tom Hunt, a DaVinci Resolve tutorial with John Devenish and not forgetting several videos and AV’s on “Water with Music”.
Read about these and more in the Movie Makers’ May 2020 Newsletter out now. As the world continues to change around us it very important that members regularly check the Club’s Calendar for possible Programme changes. So, sit back in the arm chair with your coffee/tea and enjoy the Newsletter.
