About Us

Wollongong Camera Club meets at 7.30 pm on Tuesdays from February to November.

1st Tuesday of the month: Movie Makers

2nd Tuesday of the month: Photo Group Guest Speakers

4th Tuesday of the month: Photo Competition

Meetings are at Figtree Heights Public School, Cnr St George Ave and Lewis Dr, Figtree*.

The Management Committee meet on Zoom at 7:00pm on the 3rd Monday of the Month.

We also hold monthly Field Trips. See our calendar for more information.

*During COVID lockdowns, meetings are held via Zoom.

Photography Group January 2020 Newsletter Has Been Published

Welcome back to your Camera Club’s 2020 Activities. There has been a number of events, outings where members have been able to check their camera skills in various photographic genre. Its just a short 9 days before the Photography Group meets again for a full year of Presentations, Competitions and Outing/Adventures.

To entice your appetite the Photography Group’s January 2020 Monthly Newsletter is now available with coverage of several outings. There is a brief explanation of several recent updates to the Club’s website that members are encouraged to read whilst reviewing those changes on line.

The 2020 Annual General Meeting (March 17th) is an important part of the Club’s activities with several senior Management incumbents retiring . So please consider what you can do to assist your club’s future. Now, take the time to read this newsletter so that you won’t miss out on any of the events or outings.

Photography Group December 2019 Published

The Photography Group’s December 2019 Monthly Newsletter is now available. There is coverage of the Club’s Annual Dinner and Presentation Night, the winners, the new Trophy holders. Who were the big movers in the 2019 Pointscore Competition? Who to watch in 2020? Read about these and more.

There is some important news of events and the 2020 Programme occurring during our summer break. Please take the time to read these so that you won’t miss out on any of the events or outings.

Due to a technical issue the Photography Group’s 2019 Pointscore Entry Presentation didn’t show. This Presentation ink was removed on January 20th 2020.

Photography Group’s Newsletter November 2019 Published

The Photography Group’s November 2019 Monthly Newsletter is now available. The final Competition month along with several programmed events has kept members busy. FCC’s 2019 Interclub results have been published and the Club’s individual results have been included. The recent Police and Emergency Services 2019 Games has coverage with 11 members partaking to photographically documenting them. All this makes interesting reading. Your Printed Entry required Tuesday, August 13th 2019.

Please ensure that your entry meets the FCC’s Specifications, that the Entry Label sent to you is attached correctly and is at the Club on Tuesday Night.

These Prints will be packed and sent to FCC on Wednesday August 14th 2019

Further to my earlier post announcing that the Wollongong Camera Club’s FCC 2019 Interclub Pre-selections is open and ready to accept your Entries the I have been able to locate some information that may assist you in entering.

Please note: This Interclub Competition Information is based on the 2018 Interclub’s Sections/Definitions and should be interpreted as a guideline to Section definitions.
